more people are aware of the needs of learning disabled children and some help  is forthcoming, but I still come across 15-16 and 17 years old whose problems were not detected and must have suffered a similar fate as I did this should not happen in this day and  age.

The Reverse Side, is my contribution to raising  the awareness.

  "…If a person can’t read fast enough (determined by people who set standards and norms) most academic professions are out of reach. I wanted to study medicine but this was out of  the question for a learning disabled person no matter what their I.Q. and potential are.”

  I was one of the lucky “missed children” for I found a profession where I was able to creative and that enabled me to become visible after many years of wanting to be invisible.
